Dear Customers,

As owner and proprietor of N Conlan & Sons Motor Group, I would like to sincerely thank each and every one of our customers who have contributed to our success over the last 55 years. The business was established on this weekend in 1965 by my late father Nicholas Conlans. Having served his time as a mechanic for 22 years, he decided to go it alone and established N Conlan & Sons in Rathangan, Co. Kildare.

We started from quite humble beginnings and the business has been built up through sheer hard work, dedication and passion for the motor industry. N Conlan & Sons was founded on integrity and honesty, and 55 years later these principles continue to be executed on a daily basis. As I look back over the past 55 years, I am incredibly proud of where the company finds itself today, and how respected and admired it has become along the way.

In the late 90s we developed a 5-acre site in Rathangan and acquired the BMW franchise for the first time. Our Peugeot dealership still trades from these premises today. In 2009, we procured the BMW and MINI franchise in Co. Limerick, and in 2014 we relocated the BMW franchise in Kildare to Naas and our stunning new showroom. Then, in 2017 we opened our state-of-the-art Land Rover Jaguar premises next to it.

The heart of our success has been built on a foundation that has remained constant for over a half a century – the customer is at the forefront of everything we do. We strive to build relationships with all of our customers, and I take every sale personally as do our staff. I have been fortunate to have been surrounded by incredible individuals, some of whom worked for the business for over 50 years. I thank all of them, past and present, for their enormous contributions.

I have enjoyed some great celebratory times with customers over the years and although it is not possible in the current climate, I look forward to future events when we can all get together again. On behalf of myself, my son Nicky who is a third generation Conlan working for the company, and our ever-present general manager Maura Ryan, I thank you for your continued support, loyalty and friendship. We are here for all our customers, whether long-standing or yet to visit us for the first time. Here’s to the next 55 years.
